چکیده

Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) represents the most frequent type of cancers among Caucasians. Consisting basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous (SCC), which both develop in epidermis skin. The incidence NMSC has increased by 33% over past 10 years. steadily increasing number cases continue to cause burden society health care. Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease characterized white depigmented lesions due local loss melanocytes. We showed protective effect vitiligo against melanoma clinical epidemiological data suggest that may also suppress NMSC. Non-immunological pathways, such as p53 pathway expression been found skin, could be involved protection aim this study explore potential role its relation Validation P53 will done using lesional nonlesional biopsies versus healthy Additionally, deregulation keratinocytes infiltrating immune cells explored two independent scRNAseq datasets confirmed immunohistochemistry. Furthermore we analyze BCCs from a patient who developed halo-regions (depigmented regions) around superficial partially went into regression, while nodular without halo did not. investigate if correlates regression. Finally imiquimod induces normal

Non-melanoma skin cancer diagnosis with a convolutional neural network

Background: The most common types of non-melanoma skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma (BCC), and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). AKIEC -Actinic keratoses (Solar keratoses) and intraepithelial carcinoma (Bowen’s disease)- are common non-invasive precursors of SCC, which may progress to invasive SCC, if left untreated. Due to the importance of early detection in cancer treatment, this study aimed...

The Ecological Factors associated with Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer in Patients referring to the Tumor Clinic of Razi Skin Hospital, Tehran in 2017 (a case-control study)

Introduction: Due to the high global incidence of skin cancer, its adverse effects on health, and imposition of exorbitant treatment costs on people, the ecological factors associated with non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) were examined in patients who referred to the Tumor Clinic of Razi Skin Hospital, Tehran in 2017. Methods: This case-control study was conducted by administration of a researc...

Are there Relationships between the VDR-FokI Polymorphism and Vitamin D and the Insulin Resistance in Non-melanoma Skin Cancer (NMSC) Patients? A Protocol for Case-control Studies

Background and Objectives: Evidence indicate relationships between the sunlight exposure, vitamin D status and non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) risk. Vitamin D receptor (VDR) polymorphisms have been linked to metabolic changes in insulin resistance and various cancers. The purpose of this study is to investigate relationships between the sunlight exposure and the NMSC risk. Furthermore, relation...

The Protective Role of Vitamin D Signaling in Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer

Although the epidemiologic evidence that adequate vitamin D nutrition protects against non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) is limited, recent evidence that the vitamin D receptor (VDR) is protective is compelling. The role of vitamin D signaling in limiting the proliferation while promoting the differentiation of keratinocytes, the major cell in the epidermis from which NMSC are derived, is well kn...
